At Pearl Dental you can walk away with a brand-new smile, on the SAME DAY!

What are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are the closest replacement to a natural tooth. They can be used to replace a single tooth or multiple teeth, including full arches.
An implant is a small screw that is placed into your jawbone which acts as an anchor, just like the roots of your teeth. The implant then supports the permanent or removable replacement of the tooth/teeth, giving you a perfectly natural look!

Having an artificial tooth surgically implanted into your jawbone has several advantages such as:

  • Improves Physical appearance when smiling and laughing.
  • Creates more stability as the bone will integrate around the implant creating a stronger foundation.
  • Improves functionality such as chewing and even talking.

Why choose us?
Here at Pearl Dental we have a wide array of state-of-the-art technology, which will make your experience with us smooth and stress free. We have our very own OPG X-ray and CBCT machine, meaning we can determine the best treatment for you instantly, cutting out the need to travel before your implant journey.

We are now also excited to announce that we can offer platelet-rich-fibrin as part of your treatment plan to promote better healing after your dental treatment. PRF involves drawing a small amount of your own blood, which we then spin in our centrifuge machine to collect platelets. The membrane is then placed into the extraction or implant site, protecting the site from infection and accelerating the healing process. This will also decrease any surgical pains you may have after your dental surgery.

Meet The Team

Dr Nigel Hargreaves

Nigel Hargreaves’ professional career began when he qualified as a dentist from Sheffield University in 1988 gaining the KaVo prize in oral surgery. He started advanced restorative dentistry training in 1999 and completed his master’s degree in restorative dentistry in 2005 at the Leeds Dental Institute.

Nigel Hargreaves has worked in private prosthodontic practice since 1995 and has received advanced training in the fields of implantology, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, from some of the world’s leading clinicians.

After initially spending several years at a leading referral practice in Manchester, Nigel then built up his own referral practice in West Yorkshire, providing all aspects of dental implant treatments, both surgical and restorative, along with all other aspects of prosthetic, prosthodontic and cosmetic dental treatments. Nigel’s passion is for both smile and functional reconstructions, whether using veneers, crowns, natural teeth or integrating dental implants where teeth are missing.

Nigel’s special interest is full arch dental implant reconstructions and regularly uses immediate loading techniques (“same day teeth”, “teeth in a day”,” all on 4”, “all on 6”, “same day smiles”), to remove teeth, place dental implants and then in the same day, fit a full arch fixed bridge, eliminating the need for any form of denture entirely.

Nigel has been involved in teaching and lecturing since 2003. Both as a national and international guest lecturer, but predominantly as part of his own teaching academy, which he founded in 2008. Here, Nigel has run restorative dentistry and dental implantology courses in a combination of formats, ranging from single day courses, to 12 month long modular courses.

Nigel is a respected member of The British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The International Team for Implantology, The Association of Dental Implantologists UK, The International College of Prosthodontists, The British Association of Private Dentists and The British Dental Association.

Away from dentistry, Nigel enjoys long walks in the countryside with his wife Donna and cockapoo Freddy. Nigel is also an ultra-runner, running in trail races from 50km up to 100 miles.
