Dentures
Full and partial dentures, made with the practice’s onsite laboratory.

Could this treatment help you?
Dentures replace missing teeth with a removable appliance — a full set, or a partial denture that fits around the teeth you still have. A well-made denture restores eating, speech and the shape of the face; a poor one is why dentures have a bad name.
Pearl Dental has a dental laboratory on site. The work of shaping, adjusting and finishing your denture happens where you are fitted, which keeps the loop between dentist and technician short.
This may suit you if

You have lost several teeth or a full arch, or your current denture is loose, worn or uncomfortable. Replacing an old denture is as valid a reason to be assessed as replacing teeth.
Good to know

A denture is removable and rests on the gums, so it will never feel exactly like natural teeth — new dentures take a few weeks of adjustment and usually a few refinement visits, which is normal and planned for.
Gums and bone change shape slowly over the years, so every denture loosens eventually and needs relining or remaking. Where you want something fixed instead, implant options are discussed at the assessment.
- Made with the practice’s onsite dental laboratory
- Fitted and refined over review visits until comfortable — not handed over and forgotten
- Full and partial options, with the cost confirmed first
- Step 1AssessmentThe mouth, gums and any remaining teeth are examined, and what you want from the denture — eating, appearance, confidence — is discussed openly.
- Step 2Impressions and designImpressions and measurements go to the onsite laboratory, and the shade and shape of the teeth are chosen with you.
- Step 3Try-inYou see and wear a trial version first, so the look and bite are agreed while changes are still easy to make.
- Step 4Fit and refineThe finished denture is fitted, then adjusted over review visits as your mouth gets used to it — sore spots are corrected, not endured.
Afterwards
New dentures feel bulky at first, and eating and speaking take practice — most people adapt within a few weeks. Clean the denture daily out of the mouth, rest the gums overnight, and keep regular check-ups: the gums under a denture still need looking after.

Questions patients usually ask.
How much do private dentures cost?
It depends on whether you need a full or partial denture and the materials chosen. The complete cost is confirmed in writing at the assessment, before anything is made.
What is the advantage of the onsite laboratory?
The technician making your denture works in the same building as the dentist fitting it, so adjustments and refinements move quickly and nothing is lost in translation between surgery and lab.
Will I be without teeth while they are made?
That depends on your situation — it is a planning question, and it is answered at the assessment before anything starts, so you know exactly what to expect at every stage.
My denture is loose — can anything be done?
Usually, yes. Depending on the cause, the options run from relining or remaking the denture to holding it firm with implants. The right answer starts with an assessment of the denture and the gums beneath it.
