Crowns and bridges

Crowns that protect damaged teeth and bridges that replace missing ones.

Could this treatment help you?

A crown covers and protects a tooth too damaged for a filling; a bridge uses the teeth either side of a gap to hold a replacement tooth in place. Both are made to match the teeth around them.

Pearl Dental makes its crown and bridge work with the onsite dental laboratory, keeping the dentist and technician in the same building while your restoration is shaped and shaded.

This may suit you if

Dr Oliver Kenyon treating a patient wearing loupes

A tooth is heavily filled, cracked or root-treated and needs protecting — or a missing tooth is bothering you and you want a fixed replacement without surgery. The assessment confirms which restoration fits your case.

Good to know

A dental demonstration model showing a crown, implant and bridge.

Preparing a tooth for a crown removes tooth structure, and a bridge asks the neighbouring teeth to carry the gap — where those teeth are sound, an implant may be the kinder option and is discussed at the same visit.

Crowned teeth can still decay at the margin, and all restorations eventually need replacing.

What it offers

  • Made with the practice’s onsite dental laboratory
  • Matched to the shade and shape of the teeth around them
  • Alternatives — including implants — explained before you commit
