Complex tooth-wear rehabilitation

Assessment and staged restorative planning for teeth affected by more extensive wear.

Could this treatment help you?

Years of grinding, acid erosion or a heavy bite can wear teeth visibly shorter — edges chip, enamel thins, and the whole smile ages. Rehabilitation rebuilds the worn surfaces and, where needed, the bite itself, in a planned sequence rather than one emergency repair at a time.

The rebuilding is designed with the practice’s onsite laboratory, and it starts by finding the cause — because rebuilding teeth into the same destructive bite just wears the new work too.

This may suit you if

Dr Oliver Kenyon treating a patient wearing loupes

Teeth that look shorter than they used to, front edges that keep chipping, sensitivity from thinned enamel, or a partner reporting that you grind at night. The assessment separates what is worn from why it wore.

What it will not do

A person fitting a clear dental appliance over their teeth.

This is staged, considered dentistry — complex cases run over months, and the cause of the wear must be managed or the rebuild fails slowly the way the teeth did. The scope, sequence and complete cost are in writing before anything starts.

Why patients choose it

  • The cause treated, not just the damage
  • Rebuilt in a planned sequence with the onsite laboratory
  • Full scope and cost in writing before you commit
